The Christian Worldview
|
|
| The Bible, is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the
final authority on all matters on which it speaks. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons
- Father, Son and Holy Spirit - each making up 100% of the Godhead, something incomprehensible by creation.
|
| God created us to have fellowship
with Him, but we rejected God by pridefully going our own way. As a result, we need God’s saving
grace to end our sinful alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s grace - not human effort - and must
be received personally by repentance and faith.
|
| Jesus the Christ, second Person of the Trinity, who was 100% Man and 100% God, lived a sinless
life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all
who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He fills believers
with His Holy Spirit. He will return to earth to consummate history.
|
| The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service as His Church. The Church’s
role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment.
Only those reborn will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
The Body of Christ is not an organization, but an organism. At the very core, the Body of Christ is not a philosophy,
institution, culture or enterprise. It is a fellowship of prayer commited to the Word Himself. Again, His Church is
not an organization, but a Spiritual Organism of many reborn people, from many backgrounds, whose hearts bear
His signature and whose names are on a roll in Heaven. The Spirit flows through the veins of this Body via
prayer.

Road and Rivers Avenue Area and who desire to please the Lord by seeking Him together.
