First Letter Written

This was the first letter written during the second leg of the prayer campaign. The letter's purpose was to recruit serious prayer partners
who could help pave the way for the next rally. The May 3rd, 2008 event's theme was "The Time Has Come to Seek Him Together" and
the March 6th and 7th, 2009 rally's theme was "The Humble King is Worthy". Walls have been torn down and something is happening.
The eighty five intercessors who responded to this letter are a huge reason why.

"When there is a weakness in the enemie's wall, it makes sense to bring our collective strength to bare on that one point. This is that point."

Step One: Building a Canopy of Prayer - A Letter to Local Intercessors

What if the walls between the church leaders, who all labor within a 3-mile radius of one another, were torn down to the point that they actively and seriously sought the Lord together?

That has always been the goal of the Park Circle Prayer Campaign. We all have a tendency to socialize, facade to facade, but seldomn experience fellowship, heart to heart. But with God's manifest presence, that changes. We desperately need a change of atmosphere.

And we can't do this alone. Quite a number of you, who are outside this geographical area, are being asked to continually pray for the spiritual leadership in this target area at the Lord's leading. For one, the needed prayer-strength is not in this geographic area alone and secondly, God does it this way so as to spread the load for the glory of only One.

Jesus prepared 30 years for a 3 and a half year ministry which took him only to Orthodox Jewish communities seeking out those disenfranchised with the religious system. He did not spend time with the Greek-Cultured Jews whose passion was this world. He said,"I've come for the lost sheep of Israel." His encounter with the Samaritan woman and Roman soldier divinely tipped His hat as to His intentions after Pentecost, but His primary ministry focus was in one area. He traveled a limited number of places, with a limited number of people, over a limited period of time seeking out a limited number of people. He then changed the world with unlimited power. Like David's stone or Ehud's dagger, the target was set.

What the Lord is doing in the dialogue with church leaders within a three mile radius of Park Circle is truly encouraging. Church leaders include senior pastors, worship leaders, lay-leaders and youth leaders. These are the spiritual gatekeepers over the souls in this small area. I'm asking you to help move this from dialogue to action through intercession. There are a series events the Lord is bringing about between now and the goal. But so you know, the specific goal is simply to help leaders gather in a physical place where they can seek the Lord together in a fast for a quality period of time. This is all about a major fast to seek the Lord.

Not only is this seriously being discussed, but many of the most influential pastors in the Park Circle area have already committed themselves to this goal. This is a true and encouraging statement; But prayer cover is needed to see it through. It is also forseeable that many more pastors from outside the PC area will join in this pursuit of the Lord because they are equally hungry for the Lord.

We fast to put down the pride of our flesh, so Love Himself can get at the pride of our souls. He will come because He is faithful and then His leadership can take root
. The organization of "seeking" prayer-meetings is both Biblical and historical in precedent. In the coming weeks we will be in touch and will personally share with you the names of 3 church leaders, associated with this effort and/or are simply in the radius, that need daily prayer coverage between now and March 7th. You are being asked to pray for their protection, heart-preparation and unity of Spirit.

Every person has to navigate through the strongholds of pride within as well as those without. He or she cannot make it without the Body of Prayer. We need each other. This is the Gospel of Jesus and Us, not Jesus and me. Maybe you've heard of Adopt-A-Block. This is Adopt-A-Leader.

If there is anybody you know, who would be able to help in this endeavor, by covering people in prayer, please have them e-mail info@parkcircleprayer.com!

From rich to poor, with Black, White and Latino communities converging, this area presents to us an opportunity to reach literally every demographic of souls. It is perceivable that if the people in this small area will all come to Christ, so can the entire Lowcountry.

If an entire community goes down in the flames of revival, so will a city and if a city, so will a region and regions can yield nations. Your prayerful role in this effort will matter to the souls in your neighborhood whether it is within or outside this radius. When there is a weakness in the enemie's wall, it makes sense to bring our collective strength to bare on that one point. This is that point. I deeply believe in my heart that the enemie's power is a stack of cards being prepared to fall and will yield a mass exodus of souls into the Kingdom of the Humble One.
