Corporate
Seeking please return to church,
The art of praying through we must re-learn.
For
our risen Hero died so we would pray.
This is what His heart doeth for yearn.
Though written Word be source for sound doctrine,
In matters of discernment, structure
and voice;
Prayer is the only place for wisdom's demonstration,
The only line
for Leadership's revealed choice.
It's where persistence waits together
for the real,
Not what religious men have factory-made,
With results only attributable
to the King,
Where yielded souls have patiently stayed.
With
no pretense in His manifest presence,
Where fellowship trumps socializing's fair facade,
Tames
the power of popular personality,
And bows hearts before the living God.
Gives genuine passion and real power,
To the proclaiming and teaching of the Word.
Opens hearts and minds of distrusting unbelievers,
Where the Truth Himself is truly heard.
Seeking Prayer produces anointed preaching,
With eternal effects
impossible to be undone,
And does more than merely touch a life,
And unfeignedly brings glory to the Son.
The Corporate crashes the Culture of Celebrity,
Extinguishes individualism gone insane,
Dethrones the ministry of Hollywood,
In homes bound by ball and chain.
People of prayer produce people of prayer
For we're prayer leaders, not preachers
first,
And of the heart this abundance is contagious,
Both haunting and inspiring
a life-saving thirst.
Steals away the pride of comparison,
And
gives life to our Christian worldview,
Keeps us from worshipping self in Jesus' Name,
And
causes hearts to patiently pray through.
More
real than rampant religious activism,
A true indication of a congregation's growth,
Where
saints gather around the Throneroom,
To honor Him in their Sacred Oath.
For corporate prayer is all about One,
This Hero Who died so we would pray.
Let
us not put Him off any further.
The time has come for us to obey.
brings glory to the Son.
